Library Mall |
Located across the street from the Pyle Center behind the library, at the bottom of State St. When the weather is good, order from the carts and enjoy the stimulating atmosphere on Library Mall or take your food across the street to the Memorial Union terrace and eat by the lake.
Buraka: East African food. Best food cart according to several postdocs past and present.
Guantanamera: Cuban style. Very good saffron rice. Cuban music to dance to while you wait for your food.
Jamerica: Tasty jerk chicken, great jerk pork.
Thai House: Very good. Mild spices. Excellent squash curry.
Sukho Thai: Try a "two-star" dish (hot!) - you won't fall asleep in the afternoon talks.
Loose Juice: Very good juices and smoothies. The owner is notorious in the Physics Dept. for a Vietnam War era incident.
Turtle: Great quesadillas, generous portions; fresh veggies and some organics used.
Athenian Garden: Impossibly slow.
Zen Sushi: New cart with good inexpensive sushi.
